Meet with us Sundays from 10:00am - 13.00pm
I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. Psalm 122:1!
Allow us to introduce ourselves
We know that some people have never heard of the Church of Christ. Others, perhaps even you, have heard of us, but do not know who we are. We are just ordinary people from many walks of life. We are a diverse group, coming from different cultural, social and family backgrounds. We are at different stages of knowledge and spiritual growth.
We are different ages, have different jobs, and yet are united in our faith that Jesus Christ is saviour. We were brought together by our recognition that we are imperfect, and we all are in need of the cleansing blood of Jesus (Mark 2:17, Romans 5:6-9, Ephesians 1:7).
We have a common goal to serve God and go to Heaven. This is the reason we worship and work together, to be united servants of the living God and with His help, to accomplish the purposes revealed in His Word. We are aware of our need for Christ; and you will find people who are striving to serve God with Jesus as our example, and the Bible as our unerring guide.
We want to let you know that we are a loving spiritual family of Christians just around the corner, who believe in caring and encouraging one another in God's word. We are taught of God to love one another (1 Th. 4:9) and have the same care one for another (1 Cor. 12:25). The world is a cold and indifferent place, hence we emphasise promoting a family atmosphere among our congregation. When you visit us, you will find a refuge of peace and safety and can expect to be greeted with kindness and courtesy.
We are simply Christians, independent of any denominational organisation. We are not associated with any national or world headquarters. Yet, we cooperate voluntarily with our sister congregations in the Lord's work and fellowship.
Our aim as a congregation is to be a church as defined in the New Testament. Our primary concern is with the spiritual need of all -- our need for God, for forgiveness of sins, for genuine God-pleasing worship, for pure lives that live in accordance with God's Word.
We as a church exist "in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Ephesians 3:10-11).
The church must meet the need of mankind today -- the very greatest need of all -- instruction in how to serve God and keep His commandments (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14).
We accept the Scriptures as our only authority in religious matters.
We endeavour to follow only the New Testament precepts in all that we do or say. The following is what you can expect to be a part of in our coming together on Sundays.
Bible Study is a way Christians grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (II Peter 3:18). In order to fulfil this command, we have Bible study classes for both children and adults.
Our worship services
Jesus said, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be his worshippers. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24)". Two things are required of worshippers if our devotions are to be acceptable to God.
